SHFC joins Independence Day ‘Parada ng Kalayaan’

SHFC President and CEO Federico Laxa led the agency’s contingent at the 126th Independence Day program, presided over by President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila.

In his speech, President Marcos highlighted the event as a tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for the country’s freedom and independence.

Joining SHFC’s contingent were Executive Vice President Atty. Junefe Payot, Finance and Comptrollership Vice President Dante Anabe, Corporate Planning and Communications Vice President Florencio Carandang, Jr., and Resettlement Services Vice President Bob Flores.

SHFC participated alongside other key shelter agencies under the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development headed by Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar in the “Parada ng Kalayaan,” which featured 22 beautifully colored floats.

This year’s celebration centered around the theme: “Kalayaan. Kinabukasan. Kasaysayan.” Earlier, SHFC showcased its programs and projects under the Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino Housing (4PH) Program in a service caravan alongside other government agencies.
