SHFC, other agencies gather for Housing Summit 2024 in Bacoor City, Cavite

As part of the month-long celebration of National Shelter Month, the Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC) and other key shelter agencies gathered in the Housing Summit 2024 with the theme Breaking Barriers: Revolutionizing the Housing Industry in the City of Bacoor on October 2.

Held at Strike Gymnasium, Bacoor Government Center, the event aimed to fortify collective efforts towards ensuring accessible and sustainable housing for every Filipino, while addressing the urgent need for innovative solutions aimed at redefining affordable housing in Bacoor City.

Cavite 2nd District Representative Lani Mercado-Revilla led the signing of manifesto alongside Vice Mayor Rowena Bautista Mendiola, and representatives from participating agencies including SHFC Vice President of Mega Manila Group Engr. Elsa Juliana Calimlim, representing President and CEO Federico Laxa.

Also present in the summit were representative from Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development, National Housing Authority, Home Development Mutual Fund, Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor, Public Attorney’s Office, and Homeowners’ Association (HOA) officers to show support to the city’s housing programs under President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.’s Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program.

VP Engr. Calimlim presented SHFC’s programs to various community associations who attended in the said event. SHFC personnel also participated to provide assistance for the residents on the corporation’s housing programs.
