The Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC) marked its 21st anniversary with the theme “Housing for All: Building Lives, Transforming Communities” at its Makati head office on Tuesday.

Led by President & CEO Federico Laxa, the celebration highlighted SHFC’s commitment to advancing President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program. Key events included the unveiling of Building Lives magazine, a jingle-making and singing competition, a poster-making contest, and other activities.

In his speech, President Laxa emphasized the importance of completing ongoing projects, particularly those initiated last year, underscoring SHFC’s dedication to delivering results.

President Laxa drew inspiration from Jon Acuff’s book “Finish,” emphasizing the value of persistence in accomplishing goals. He echoed the message, “stop starting and start finishing,” underscoring that while a strong will is crucial at the beginning of any endeavor, true progress happens when efforts are seen through to completion.

Joining him were Executive Vice President Atty. Junefe Payot, Support Cluster Senior Vice President Atty. Leo Deocampo, along with other senior officers of the corporation.

Established in 2004 through Executive Order 272, SHFC has been dedicated to providing quality, accessible, and dignified housing solutions for over two decades. Under the leadership of Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar, the agency continues to be a key pillar of the 4PH program, continuously working to building lives and transforming communities across the nation.
