SHFC Boosts National Treasury with Php 63.92 Million Dividend Contribution

EARLIER: SHFC President and CEO Federico Laxa personally received a Certificate of Acknowledgment of Dividend Remittances from President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. for the agency’s significant contributions to the national coffers during the Government-Owned-and-Controlled Corporations (GOCC) Day at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City.

SHFC’s remittance of Php 63.92 million in dividends to the National Treasury as of May 3, 2024, highlights the corporation’s continuous support for the administration’s programs aimed at improving the welfare of Filipinos. This amount is part of the Php 88.56 billion in remittances collected from 47 GOCCs.

Under Republic Act No. 7656, GOCCs are mandated to declare and remit at least 50 percent of their annual net earnings to the national government.
