ACCELERATING 4PH IMPLEMENTATION

The Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC) has reaffirmed its commitment to the full implementation of the Philippine government’s flagship Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino Housing (4PH) Program. Senior officials of SHFC, led by President and CEO Federico Laxa, made this announcement during a presentation to the Governance Commission for Government-Owned and Controlled Corporations (GCG).

During the meeting, SHFC officials engaged in discussions with GCG Chairperson Atty. Marius Corpus and other commissioners, emphasizing the critical need to enhance SHFC’s capacity as a GOCC, which is essential for effectively addressing the corporation’s responsibilities in providing vital public services.

As one of the Key Shelter Agencies of the government, tasked with implementing the 4PH program and providing socialized housing financing solutions, SHFC has reaffirmed its role in delivering high-quality and affordable housing solutions for the millions of homeless Filipinos. This renewed commitment underscores the imperative to boost its current workforce capacity.

SHFC takes pride in its proactive approach to operationalizing the 4PH program, even at the onset of the new Marcos administration. Currently, SHFC oversees seven development sites across the country. On July 2, President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. inspected the Crystal Peak Estates in Pampanga, SHFC’s first 4PH project to be constructed.
