MR. RONALD R. BARCENA

Ronald Barcena graduated Bachelor of Arts Major in Political Science at University of Rizal System in 1996 and acquired his Master’s degree in Business Administration at International Academy of Management and Economics on June 2002. He has also attained his Master’s degree in Public Management, Major in Local Governance Management (MPM-LGM) at Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) in December 2006.

From January-November 2017, he took a Special Course on Young Leaders for Good Governance Continuing Education Program, JMRF, International Republican Institute at UP Diliman and Microtel, UP Ayala Technohub, Quezon City. He also attended the 10th World Urban Forum in Dubai, UAE as part of the delegation of SHFC to the said Forum last 13 February 2020.

As a dedicated person with passion for public service, he served in Sangguniang Kabataan in Barangay Nayon, Antipolo City for eight years. He was then elected as a City Councilor in 1st District, Antipolo City from 2001-2009. He was also appointed as a Board Member in Rizal Provincial Board for four years and was elected again as a City Councilor from July 2013-January 2018. He was the Chairman of Committee on Planning, Land Utilization, Housing and Settlement, Committee on Finance, Budget & Appropriation, Committee on Agriculture, Committee on Education, and the Majority Floor Leader of 1st District, Antipolo City.

On 04 March 2019, he has been appointed as a Private Sector Representative of Social Housing Finance Corporation up to the present.
