Land Donation Solidifies 4PH Housing Project in Pototan, Iloilo

The development of over 1,200 housing units under the expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PHX) Program in Pototan, Iloilo, took a major step forward with the official signing of a Deed of Donation of a parcel of a land in Brgy. Batuan earlier in Makati.
SHFC President and CEO Federico Laxa and Pototan Mayor Rafael Enrique Lazaro inked the Deed of Donation, formalizing the local government’s turnover of a 21,684-square meter property that will serve as the site for the Iwagville Neighborhood Association, Inc. This housing project will consist of nine five-story buildings that will benefit low-income earners in the municipality.
The accord is in line with the vision of the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development under the leadership of Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling to ensure that every Filipino has access to safe, decent, and affordable housing.
Laxa emphasized the significance of the partnership in transforming lives and building inclusive communities. Mayor Lazaro, meanwhile, expressed his gratitude for the partnership, highlighting the project’s potential to uplift the living conditions of his constituents.
A tripartite Memorandum of Understanding between SHFC, Pototan, and Dynamic Planners and Construction Corporation, was also inked during the ceremony, formally launching the development of the project.
SHFC Executive Vice President Atty. Junefe Payot, Support Cluster Senior Vice President Atty. Leo Deocampo, Northwestern and VisMin 4PH Vice President Engr. Felman Gilbang, and Treasury Vice President Jason Yap were also present during the ceremony. Also attending the event were Dynamic Planners and Construction Corp. President Carmelo Africa III and Municipal Administrator Atty. Robert Parcon.
The Pototan project is part of SHFC’s broader efforts to implement numerous housing initiatives across the nation, including Crystal Peak Estates in San Fernando City, Pampanga, People’s Ville in Davao City, Valley View Township in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental, San Miguel de Manila Residences in Manila, and other significant projects in various parts of the country.
SHFC is also reviewing all Community Mortgage Program (CMP) applications and updating its implementing guidelines to align with Secretary Aliling’s vision for the expanded 4PH, which now incorporates all housing modalities to accelerate housing delivery nationwide.
