The Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC) participated in the Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas spearheaded by the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Region 9 on September 24 at Recidencia Hotel in Zamboanga City.
SHFC Zamboanga Branch Manager Gina Lumbre represented SHFC President and CEO Federico Laxa in highlighting the corporation’s programs and achievements in Zamboanga City.
This event brought together the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD), the Human Settlements Adjudication Commission (HSAC) and other Key Shelter Agencies (KSA), including the National Home Mortgage Finance Corporation (NHMFC) and the Home Development Mutual Fund (HDMF). The Kapihan series aims to showcase the progress and initiatives of these agencies in promoting housing and urban development across the country’s 16 regions.
SHFC is a key implementer of the Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino Housing (4PH), the flagship initiative of President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. Currently, it has 12 ongoing projects in various locations, including San Fernando City, Pampanga; Davao City; and Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental. These projects are part of a larger plan that includes 111 shovel-ready initiatives expected to produce over 505,000 housing units by 2028.
