Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC) Executive Vice President (EVP) Atty. Junefe Payot was a guest of honor and speaker at the National Real Estate Association Inc.’s mid-year general membership assembly on August 22 held at Marquis Events Place, Bonifacio Global City, City of Taguig.

EVP Payot provided insights into SHFC’s role as the lead implementer of the Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino Housing (4PH) Program, the flagship initiative of President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. He also discussed the elements of the right to adequate housing as enshrined in the Constitution of the Philippines and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. These include security of tenure, central location, affordability and habitability, which are all present in SHFC’s 4PH projects.

“We must remember why we are in real estate, specifically in the residential sector” Atty. Payot emphasized. “We have an important responsibility to provide adequate housing for the communities we serve.”

Under the pivotal leadership of SHFC President & CEO Federico Laxa and the invaluable guidance of Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar, SHFC is actively implementing 4PH projects across various locations. These include Pampanga, Misamis Oriental, Davao City; Manila; Palawan, Cavite, Bulacan, Quezon City, and Antipolo, which are set to benefit more than 45,000 families.
