Quezon City – The Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC) recognized top-performing communities during the first-ever HOME (Homeowners’ Outstanding Merit for Excellence) Awards Ceremony at the DHSUD Building, Quezon City on August 30.
SHFC President and CEO Federico Laxa underscored that the HOME Awards are designed to recognize the Community Associations that excelled in managing their affairs, particularly their commitment to SHFC and their member-beneficiaries. “This is part of our effort to improve productivity and promote excellence in all aspects of our operations,” he said.
Reflecting on the significance of the awards, PCEO Laxa echoed the wisdom of Kouzes and Posner: “what gets rewarded, gets repeated.” This concept of recognition underpins the HOME Awards, as it aims to encourage sustained excellence in community management.
