SHFC conducts a 2-day capacity development training in Bacoor City, Cavite

The Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC), through its Cavite Branch in collaboration with the Gender and Development (GAD) Unit, successfully conducted a two-day capacity development training for the Ciudad de Strike Homeowners Association Inc. Phase I.
Held in Molino 1, Bacoor City, Cavite on September 05-06, the learning sessions aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of community members on key topics related to gender, disaster preparedness, and environmental management.
Margeline Kate Moncada led a session on Gender Sensitivity, attended by 63 female and 27 male participants. This activity aimed to equip both women and men homeowners with GAD-related knowledge to address emerging gender issues, promote gender equality, and empower women within their communities. The session also focused on improving access of women and other vulnerable community members to resources and sustainable housing programs.
Meanwhile, Johnny Garcia from the Bacoor Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and Theresa Calo from the City Environment Service Department facilitated the Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management training and Solid Waste Management training, respectively.
SHFC officials, including Program Development and Enhancement Group Vice President Atty. Maria Rosalie Richa Taguian, Insurance and Community Enhancement Department Manager Cezar Macaspac, and Cavite Branch Manager Charito Lontayao were also present in the activity.
