Internal Auditors in the housing sector unite for the First Internal Auditor’s Forum

The Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC) took part in the inaugural Internal Auditor’s Forum for the Housing Sector, held on October 17-18 at the DHSUD Auditorium in Quezon City.

The forum, themed “Internal Auditing – Pundasyon ng Integridad: Katuwang sa Pagpapatibay ng mga Sistema para sa Matatag na Komunidad sa Bagong Pilipinas,” highlighted the essential role of internal auditing in reinforcing systems that support resilient communities, in line with the vision for a stronger Bagong Pilipinas.

The two-day event was led by DHSUD Undersecretaries Randy Escolango and Henry Yap. SHFC Executive Vice President Atty. Junefe Payot representing President and CEO Federico Laxa, accepted a certificate of commendation, recognizing SHFC’s efforts in promoting integrity and accountability. This acknowledgment highlights SHFC’s crucial role as one of DHSUD’s key shelter agencies (KSAs) in building a better and stronger nation.

Vice President of Internal Audit Department Lourdes Panaligan, along with other KSA Internal Auditors, also took part in the event, which included discussions and workshops aimed at strengthening internal control systems within the department.
